Psalms 24:1-2 The earth
is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live
in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon
the waters.
Everything around you belongs to the Lord.
Have you taken the time to slow down and examine the beauty of
nature all around you? The flowers, trees, plants, birds,
squirrels, fish, tadpoles, and all that you see.
Everything! Everything belongs to the Lord. When you
slow down enough to have a little talk with Jesus concerning the
beauty of things around you, life seems to somehow come
together. God through nature has a perfect plan.
Even the animals that are dead along side the road, God has
buzzards in place to take care of their carcass. I don't
mean to sound gross, but think about it: In nature God has a
plan to take care of the unsightly. How much more will He
care for the unsightly things in your life. Remember
everything belongs to the Lord.
Romans 8:28-29 And we know that in all
things God works for the good of those who love him, who have
been called according to his purpose. For those God
foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of
his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
I encourage you to look at your life in
detail during times of quietness before the Lord. Make
time to be still before God. Allow Him to reveal His
wonderful works, His craftiness, His perfect detail to all
necessities.
Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I
am God; ...
Notice there is a comma after Be still.
You must be still before you can know that He is God. The
Amplified Bible says; Let be and be still, and know (recognize
and understand) that I am God. Let be and be still, those
5 words speak volumes. Often times people wrapped up in
the circumstances of life, maybe feeling hopeless concerning a
lifeless situation. I want to remind you that your life belongs
to the Lord. Everything concerning your life belongs to
the Lord. Your gifts, your talents, your shortcomings,
your hurts, your challenges, and your disappointments,
everything in the earth belongs to the Lord. Trust Him,
only He can work everything together for good.
Psalms 27:4 One thing I ask of the
Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the
Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the
Lord and to seek him in his temple.
Seek Him, let be and be still, recognize and
understand that He is God, nothing takes Him by surprise.
Nothing catches Him off guard. He has a plan to somehow
bring everything together from the time you were born until the
day you depart this life and enter into His eternal presence.
Until then......
“Let be and be still”.

Ephesians 4:26-27 “In your anger do not
sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and
do not give the devil a foothold.”
Have you struggled with forgiveness? Have you
ever been hurt in an area of your life that you have closed
yourself up to a person or situation that has hurt you? We’ve
all have faced struggles concerning forgiveness.
Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind and
compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in
Christ God forgave you.”
I want to remind you that God has given you
the power of influence. You have the ability to make the first
move when it comes to forgiveness. I encourage you to pray and
ask God what you can do to create an atmosphere of acceptance
and encouragement.
Proverbs 15:1 “A gentle answer turns
away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
We all have made mistakes. Do you fully understand the
freedom of knowing you are forgiven? What confidence you can
have when you know you are free from the law of sin and death.
Actually, the gospel of Jesus Christ is all about forgiveness.
Luke 6:36 - 37 “Be merciful, just as
your Father is merciful. "Do not judge, and you will not be
judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive,
and you will be forgiven.”
The good news is; you are never alone, if you
call upon the name of the Lord, He will give you the courage and
the confidence that you need to be merciful and to forgive. God
wants to show you how the power of His love can turn any
situation around for His glory. God made the first move towards
you by sending His only son Jesus. He will empower you to make
the first move towards restoration. As you make the move, He
will take care of the outcome.
Be encouraged!

Psalms 23:6 “Surely goodness and love
will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the
house of the LORD forever.”
Goodness and love are following you; will you
pause long enough to partake of this goodness and love? Pause
and welcome the goodness of the Lord. Pause and receive from His
love, mercy and strength for your today.
Psalms 34:8 “Taste and see that the
LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.”
The Lord is so good. His love is everlasting.
Do you recognize the goodness of God all around you?
James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift
is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly
lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
How refreshing it is to recognize the
goodness of the Lord. It’s like a breath of fresh air that
brings praise to your lips...
Psalms 63:3 “Because your love is
better than life, my lips will glorify you.”
There is nothing better than the Lord your
God. No one can compare to His goodness and faithfulness.
Psalms 103:1 “Praise the LORD, O my
soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.”
Bless the Lord at all times; continuously
praise Him for His goodness to you all today.
Psalms 113:3 “From the rising of the
sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be
praised.”

Psalms 55:5 “Fear and trembling have
beset me; horror has overwhelmed me.”
The initial shock of receiving the news of an
overwhelming circumstance can set you back. You may wish that
you could just get away from it all.
Psalms 55:6-7 “I said, "Oh, that I had
the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest- I would
flee far away and stay in the desert;”
David who was very close to God wanted to
escape. You or someone you know may feel the desire to escape
from problems and pressures. Even if you did have wings and
could fly away, the problem wouldn’t change because you took
off. The key here is not to escape, but instead to wait. Wait
upon the Lord.
Isaiah 40:28-31 “Do you not know? Have
you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of
the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his
understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and
weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the
LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like
eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not
be faint.”
You can receive newness of strength knowing
that you are not to be in the middle trying to arrange the
outcome. Just as the eagle sores above the storm clouds in the
perfect flow of air gliding over the storm, you too can rise
above the storms of life and sore over the problems and the
pressures knowing God is in control, not you.
Psalm 55:16-17 “But I call to God, and
the LORD saves me. Evening, morning and noon I cry out in
distress, and he hears my voice.”
Make the quality decision to call upon the
Lord all day long, give Him all your burdens. For He cares for
you affectionately and watches over you all day and all night!
Psalms 55:22. “Cast your cares on the
LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous
fall.”
Praise God for His faithfulness. The next
time you have an overwhelming pressure, run to Him and wait.
Be encouraged by His grace today!
